Transition Program - A
six week summer
training for teens and
young adults to learn
about careers and the
work place.

Computer Camp - A
two week summer
program for children to
learn about computers
and a time to
participate in enriched
learning experiences.

The Call Hub - a twelve
week program in
which individuals work
on phone and
computer to handle
jobs from the
community, as part of
permanent job
placement..

Mentoring occurs
across all the
programs.  The
mentoring is the key to
learning and
development
The Mentor Center is not so much a place as it is a
concept, a plan, and a mechanism that can be
duplicated anywhere.  The Mentor Center is a three
tiered system that instructs and guides individuals
with disabilities, through the seven objectives found
on the home page.  There are several components
to the project.  The table below and description to
the right, will help illustrate the Tier system.
The Three Tiers of Mentoring
Tier I
Composed of senior retirees with exceptional work experience and
personal skills
Provide mentoring to young adults of Tier II and instill the 7 objectives
Tier II
Composed of young adults who have successfully mastered the 7 objectives
These participate in the summer Transition program as part of their
development
These also work in the “Call Center” if needed
When they are capable they provide mentoring to Tier III students
Tier III
Composed of children
These attend the summer Computer Camp
This is the entry level.  Children can continue and move up to Tier II
