Benefits to Sponsors

•        Training for the tour is already underway.  The sponsor will
have their banner displayed over the cyclist even in training.
Round trips from Tallahassee to Daytona Beach will occur several
times over the intervening months.  Advertisement will be
conducted throughout this training phase.
•        During the weeks leading up to the trip, radio interviews and
news articles will be done.  The sponsor will be properly
introduced in each.
•        The main sponsor will have their flag flown over the cyclist
during the entire trip.
•        The main sponsor will have their logo on shirts and other
clothing worn by the cyclist
•        Media kits will be sent to all major markets covered during
the tour
•        A “send off” activity including the press will be held each
morning of the tour
•        Appropriate persons from the community and the blind
agencies will be asked to attend the morning send off.
•        At the send off, brochures and other information about the
sponsor will be distributed
•        Send off activities will all be planned well in advance to
optimize attendance and interest in each community.
•        Information about the sponsor will be distributed in route at
any and all opportunities i.e. lunch stops, convenience stores, bike
shops, individuals who are curious about the tour.
•        A permanent plaque will be in place at the center for the
sponsor
•        During the first three years of the project the sponsor’s logo
will appear on all printed material that is done as a part of the
project and delineated thusly, “This Project was funded by
(sponsor name)”.
•        The sponsor will have a permanent and prominent link on the
www.FloridaMentorCenter.com website.
•        In all it is expected that the sponsor will receive publicity
roughly equivalent to their contribution.
The goal is to
find one or two
sponsors who
will accept the
challenge to
raise and
contribute the
$130,000 needed
to fund the
center for the
first two years.
The benefits are
listed with that in
mind.

The benefits for
individuals who
contribute are
listed on the
"Contribution"
page.

The greatest
benefit will be an
improved State
for persons with
disabilities and
all citizens
It takes money to do
good things.  With The
Mentor Center,
however, it will become
self sustaining after the
first three years.  It
will then be able to
make contributions to
other sister branches on
the way to statewide
implementation
